Job Summary
As a full time Senior Software Engineer at MX3D, you will lead the development and implementation of software solutions that drive our advanced 3D printing technologies. Think of complete slicing and print control solutions built from the ground up.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain high-performance software systems. Your expertise will be critical in enhancing our printing capabilities, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software systems for 3D printing applications
Ensure the code and architecture are clean, simple, and bug-free
Manage releases and ensure smooth deployments
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.
Optimize software for performance, scalability, and reliability in industrial environments.
Develop and implement algorithms for robotic path planning, automation and monitoring & control
Contribute to the development of user interfaces and user experience for our software tools
Stay updated with the latest advancements in software engineering, 3D printing technologies, and industry trends
Required Skills/Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a technical field
– Minimum of 4 years of experience in software with a focus on building simple solutions for complex problems
– Mastery in any programming language
– Proficiency in Python
– Experience with linear algebra and trigonometry
– Experience with Docker and Linux
– Experience with CI/CD pipelines
– Experience with writing unit, integration, and e2e tests
– Proficient in English with strong communication skills
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with inverse kinematics
– Experience with industrial robots
– Experience with TypeScript, C/C++
– 4+ years of experience in a similar role
– Contributions to open-source projects or relevant publications in the field

What you are going to do:
You focus on sales to (potential) customers. Taking ownership of the full sales process, directly
interacting with our customers and growing our business for all of our solutions:
* M1/MX Metal AM System: our turnkey system for advanced robotic 3D metal printing,
* MetalXL: licence to our MetalXL platform to transform existing robots into industrial 3D printing
systems, including integrated software and intelligent control system, and
* Print-on-demand: manufacturing of custom metal applications for diverse industries at our facility in
Amsterdam.
Your main activities are:

MX3D, a pioneer in robotic metal additive manufacturing, is hiring a Quality Manager for our Amsterdam facility. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects while leading the implementation various industry standards to 3D printing with a welding Robot, i.e. WAAM or DED process. The ideal candidate will possess welding expertise, Welding Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) experience, an International Welding Certificate, and a proven track record in applying, obtaining and maintaining standards/accreditations for additive manufacturing, particularly in the oil and gas and nuclear industries.

⦁ Lead the development and implementation of quality control processes aligned with relevant standards
⦁ Drive continuous improvement in WAAM processes and product quality
⦁ Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to implement and maintain standards
