The Function: Robot Service Technician
We are seeking a practical, motivated service technician to support our growing MX3D workshop, which operates approximately 15 robotic systems in a production environment. This position is suitable for a technically trained engineer with a hands-on mindset who enjoys learning, problem-solving, and setting up and maintaining robotic welding systems.
This role involves supporting all technical aspects of our internal production and development activities. You’ll work closely with our commissioning and engineering teams and gradually learn to run the workshop independently.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for important tasks in the workshop, such as:
- Keeping the MX3D robot fleet operational, organized and reliable
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
- Wiring, assembling and maintaining robotic printing systems
- Support for current and upcoming installations
- Resolving ad hoc problems to resume production as quickly as possible
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who :
- At least a completed vocational education (MBO) in a technical field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering); HBO graduates who enjoy working with their hands are also certainly welcome.
- Practical and hands-on with a proactive attitude
- Handy with tools and light electrical engineering (or willing to learn)
- Organized, reliable and independent
- Able to support multiple small projects simultaneously
- Speaks good English (Dutch is a plus)
Pre’s / Bonus Skills
- Experience with technical drawings or wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with robotic systems (ABB or KUKA)
- Background in workshop or technical support
