About the Role
Are you excited about digital design, robotic fabrication, and turning complex shapes into strong, high-performance structures?
At MX3D B.V., we are changing the way large metal structures are designed and built using advanced robotic 3D printing technology.
As a Fabrication Engineer, you’ll bridge creative computational design with real-world production. You’ll work at the intersection of Rhino-based modeling, robotic toolpath development, and hands-on fabrication, helping transform ambitious concepts into certified metal structures.
What You’ll Do
As a Fabrication Engineer at MX3D, you’ll support the full journey from digital model to printed metal structure.
- Translate architectural and engineering concepts into production-ready 3D models using Rhino
- Develop and optimize geometries for robotic metal 3D printing
- Prepare and refine digital files for WAAM production workflows
- Print preparation in the workshop, cutting the parts off the build plate, packing & shipping
- Support robotic toolpath generation in collaboration with the WAAM engineering team
- Assist in print simulations, slicing strategies, and geometric optimization
- Monitoring print and production
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and alignment with applicable standards
- Document workflows and contribute to continuous process improvement
- Share computational and fabrication insights with R&D to enhance MX3D’s technology stack
