In close collaboration with global industrial partners, our engineers have created an intelligent, robust and easy-to-use Robotic WAAM technology, enabling our customers to 3D print large metal objects.
Services
MX3D offers a large production capacity and an experienced production team
With over 25.000kg of 3D metal prints, >75 man-years of experience and 10+ operating robots, MX3D prints on demand for a wide variety of industries.
MX3D Robot Arm – An inspiring example of spare part manufacturing using the advantages of topology optimization. In collaboration with ABB and Altair.
Takenaka Connector – MX3D produced a structural steel connector, designed in collaboration with the Japanese engineering firm Takenaka.
Pipeline Clamp – Hybrid WAAM to shorten the lead time of producing a pipeline clamp for oil + gas industry. In collaboration with TEAM Industries and TiaT Europe
Technology
Robotic Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) uses a 6+ axis robot and a MIG/CMT welding machine to create workpieces by depositing metal layer by layer.
It is ideal for the fabrication of medium to large scale engineering parts for both ferrous alloys (e.g. carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex steel) and non-ferrous alloys (e.g. aluminium, bronze).
